From 11–12 February 2026, the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI), in collaboration with KPMG Zambia, held a series of high-level consultative meetings with key line ministries and development partners to advance coordination on the MSME Landscape Analysis Project.
The engagements included the Ministry of Commerce,Trade and Industry, Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise Development, Ministry of Agriculture, Zambia, Ministry of Energy Zambia the Zambia Agribusiness and Trade Project (ZATP), and the World Bank Group Country Office .
The purpose of these meetings was to align national priorities on SME development, with a particular focus on data sharing, coordinated program implementation, and avoiding duplication of efforts. Discussions centered on strengthening collaboration under a joint nationwide MSME support program, in alignment with Government’s job creation and private sector development agenda.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the respective Permanent Secretaries and senior officials for the opportunity to engage, share perspectives, and advance a unified programme of action aimed at strengthening Zambia’s MSME ecosystem. The next phase will focus on consolidating insights gathered, formalizing coordination mechanisms, and rolling out a harmonized national framework to support SME growth, data-driven policymaking and sustainable job creation.
