Policy Advocacy & Public–Private Dialogue

Shaping Policy. Strengthening Business. Driving Growth.

As Zambia’s national voice of business, ZACCI leads structured engagement between the private sector and Government to create a predictable, competitive, and inclusive business environment. Through evidence-based advocacy and coordinated dialogue, we represent the interests of our members in shaping policies that enable sustainable economic growth.

Our Approach

ZACCI’s advocacy work is grounded in consultation, research, and consensus-building. We convene businesses across sectors, analyse regulatory and economic developments, and engage policymakers through formal and informal dialogue platforms.

Our approach ensures that policy reform reflects the realities of doing business in Zambia.

What We Do

Policy Representation

We represent the private sector in national consultative forums, technical working groups, and parliamentary processes to ensure business perspectives inform public policy.

We facilitate structured dialogue between Government institutions and the private sector to resolve regulatory bottlenecks and improve the business climate.

We analyse proposed legislation, tax measures, and regulatory frameworks and submit position papers and recommendations on behalf of members.

Through sectoral committees and task forces, we coordinate industry input on priority policy issues affecting trade, taxation, investment, labour, and industrial development.

We conduct research and produce policy briefs that support evidence-based advocacy and informed decision-making.
