Zambia Launches MSME Financing Platform

On 8th May 2026, the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI) participated in the launch of the Supply Chain Finance (SCF) Platform for Zambia held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Lusaka.

The event was hosted by the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise Development in partnership with Fauree Link Limited and brought together government officials, financial institutions, development partners, and private sector stakeholders to advance innovative financing solutions for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

In delivering his remarks on behalf of the MSMEs, Mr. Anthony Kabaghe, President of the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI), commended Government for its continued commitment to improving the business environment and promoting financial inclusion for MSMEs.

Mr. Kabaghe noted that the Supply Chain Finance Platform has the potential to strengthen local supply chains, improve access to working capital, accelerate payment cycles, and enhance participation of Zambian businesses in strategic sectors of the economy.

He further reaffirmed ZACCI’s commitment to supporting MSME formalisation, local content development, digital trade, and inclusive private sector growth as Zambia advances Zambia’s industrialisation and economic transformation agenda.
