Following the agreement between the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI) and the Federation of Saudi Chambers – اتحاد الغرف السعودية, Hon. Chipoka Mulenga, MP, Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry, has officially unveiled the governance structure and membership framework of the Zambia–Saudi Arabia Business Council (ZSABC).
The Council has been established as a strategic platform to strengthen private sector-led trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Zambia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The initiative follows bilateral engagements held during the 28th World Investment Conference in Riyadh in November 2024, where both Governments agreed to deepen economic collaboration and create stronger business linkages between the two nations.
Operating under ZACCI, the Zambia–Saudi Arabia Business Council will facilitate business-to-business partnerships, investment promotion, trade missions, market access opportunities, and policy advocacy aimed at unlocking growth across key sectors of the economy.
ZACCI President Mr. Anthony Kabaghe will Chair the Council, supported by a distinguished leadership team and an Executive Committee representing diverse sectors including manufacturing, agriculture, finance, infrastructure, tourism, mining, education, SMEs, and trade.
The Council also benefits from high-level advisory support from the Embassy of Zambia in Saudi Arabia, the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA), and the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC).
Membership to the Council is open to companies and business associations across all sectors of the Zambian private sector.
ZACCI remains committed to fostering strategic international partnerships that promote investment, expand trade opportunities, and contribute to Zambia’s sustainable economic development.
